The Brown Socially Responsible Investment Fund (SRIF) is a student-led investment fund with over $250,000 in assets under management.

Our investment discipline screens environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) criteria alongside financial performance to generate long-term financial returns and mitigate external risks. 

SRIF invests in financial instruments deemed socially responsible, and, in doing so, we educate our members on topics pertaining to finance, social entrepreneurship, corporate governance, management, and business practice.

We convene on Wednesday evenings at 8:00 PM for Stock Pitches Sessions at Friedman 102. New members are always welcome! No background in finance is necessary to join - we will teach you everything!
